Blog Tour *GIVEAWAY* 4 and 1/2 Star Review Searching for Tomorrow by Kathryn McNeill Crane

Buy Links

Some people are blessed to find that one certain person who completes them.

Wrynn’s yesterdays were what others only dream of having. She and Tripp were the best of friends before they even thought about love. They had the fairy tale life where ‘like’ turns into ‘love’, and ‘love’ becomes ‘happily ever after’.

What happens when life conspires against you, and snatches your soul mate from your arms?

…only her forever love ended much too soon.

Broken beyond her own ability to repair, Wrynn boxes up her grief and attempts to raise her three girls the best she can on her own. As time slowly passes, Wrynn relives her life with Tripp while struggling most days to get out of bed. She is reminded of him at every turn.

How do you set your grief and anguish aside? How do you pick up the shattered pieces, put those pieces back together again, and try to move on?

Wrynn tries to find the joy in life every single day through her daughters, family, and friends. Her twin brother Liam has dedicated himself to helping Wrynn put her life back together after losing his own love. On the other hand, her mother-in-law lives to torment her at every turn. Wrynn can't even find a chance to breathe, much less a desire to somehow search for her tomorrow.

REVIEW
"I received a complementary copy in exchange for an honest review"

As a military wife I have always feared of losing my husband during a war or tragic event, however those were not the cards we were dealt.  My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal prostate cancer at age 43 about 2 months ago.  I never thought I would have to face life without him in it at such a young age.  So for me this was an incredibly hard book to read.  To see what I possibly have to deal with and overcome was an emotional smack in the face.

That being said this was also not an easy book to review because it is just one of those books you must read to understand and truly appreciate the characters and their story.

Three friends grow up together Tripp, Liam and Wrynn.  Liam and Wrynn are brother and sister and are lucky enough to find a best friend in Tripp for both of them.  As fate would have it Tripp and Wrynn not only find true friendship but a once in a life time love you find only with a soul mate.

Now Wrynn has suffered the horrible loss of her husband Tripp and must continue on with her life, a day to day struggle to just climb out of bed and find her tomorrow.  Wrynn may struggle at times but she has a strength in her she discovers throughout the book to not just find her tomorrow but start the healing of her heart and soul.

"Tripp was my best friend, my lover, my confidant, my soul mate. He was the salt to my pepper. He was the peanut butter to my chocolate, and he alone brought me love and hope and joy. Together we created our three beautiful girls and together we looked at the world as ours to conquer. In short, he was my other half, the part that completed me."

How do you recover from your heart and soul being ripped away from you?? It just crushed me.  But Wrynn has not only her daughters to help her through this loss but the support of the world’s best brother, parents and friends.

I don’t know how anyone comes to terms with losing your heart, but with this book I just might have hope in finding my tomorrow.

"You're my everything. You're the reason I breathe, the reason I live. I can't imagine my life without you. I've loved you forever, and that love will never die."

If you are reading this, I think you should know that "About me" sounds so very pretentious to me. I guess that is what I am supposed to write about, so here it goes!

Kathryn is a simple country girl who likes to spend time with her hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook and really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than likely find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start coming in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen, canning all the goodies she is blessed with. Kathryn likes to hike and go camping, and as a Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold winter nights, you will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a good book, while sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!

Kathryn was born and raised in North Carolina, and while she loves to travel, she can't imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has come to call home. Not a day goes by that Kathryn doesn't thank God for abundantly blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful. She holds Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every fiber of her being. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Kathryn loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between her toes. As far back as she can remember, she's had a book in her hand. Reading has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to people that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she's always been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to write down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after dawdling around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those stories as much as she loves writing them!

Synopsis
Feeling dead in her marriage of 22 years, Elizabeth Fairchild, in her young forties, ditches the dream of her seemingly perfect life with her husband in search of who she really is. She had gone from her parents' house to her husband's home and never learned to stand on her own two feet. Her husband, Greg, isn't abusive or cruel, just rather neglectful. Her kids are all out of the house, off to college. Feeling that not much is left for her at home, she leaves her comfortable life in Napa Valley, California in search of her inner fire in New York City. She didn't leave to find another man, but soon finds herself involved with two very different men: Jack Stevens and Kevin Parker. Jack is older than Elizabeth by 9 years. He has heart-stopping good looks, is wildly successful, and very much in control of everything around him - especially Elizabeth. Kevin is younger, by 14 years. He is carefree, has a heart of 24k gold, is a middle school Spanish teacher, and is quite okay with Elizabeth taking the reins. Which dream is really Elizabeth's? Her quiet life in Napa? Or her wild ways in New York?

About the Author
The short story: I'm the wife of a most fabulous man for twenty years. I'm a mother of 2 busy teens. I'm a dog lover. I'm a serious drinker of coffee and wine. I live near New York City. My favorite place that I've visited is Monaco. My favorite color is green (but I look best in pink/salmon). My favorite food is chocolate. My favorite kind of music is New Country.

The long story: I've always been a creative sort of person... I started with my college studies in Advertising Design and Illustration. I'm good at drawing and coming up with clever ideas. As for story telling - well, that's where I have the most fun! Ditching The Dream is my first novel, but I've been working on writing movies since, what seems like forever. Way back in high school my friend Aimee and I started writing a movie and I was hooked. We didn't know what we were doing, but we loved coming up with the story. I also like to come up with stories about people I don't know. Like the guy that cut me off on the expressway...He had quite a story - at least in my mind! Who knows? Maybe I've come up with a story about you! ;) Ditching The Dream is a story that came to me while I was helping two author friends of mine. I was helping them with their books and I would make suggestions to amp up their stories along the way. Bev and Amy encouraged me to write my own story and Ditching The Dream was born. Is it auto-biographical? No, not in the least. But it sure has been a fun story to come up with (especially when my hubby gets involved with coming up with ideas).

Blog Tour *GIVEAWAY* Disarranged by Sara Wolf

After suffering through heartbreak, Rose is determined to move on without Lee. She can’t cling to her first love forever, and she knows that. As long as he’s happy with his decision, she’ll struggle to move on.

But when Lee's sister Grace invites her to a photoshoot in the French Alps for spring break, Rose quickly realizes it’s a trap – Lee and his new fiance Kiera are there too. Kiera toys mercilessly with Lee and Rose and their feelings for each other.

Even if Rose can muster the courage to be happy for him and Lee can suppress his pent-up desire for her, neither of them can deny there is something more that ties them together than love and lust.

Fate.

"You look thinner. Have you been eating?"
"Y-Yes," I say. Do I really look that underfed?
"There's dark circles under your eyes," He continues. "You've been sleeping alright?"
"You have them too," I counter. "Yours are way bigger than mine."
Grace smothers a laugh behind a warm bread roll. Lee still doesn't look at me, but under the table I can see his fist clench on his thigh.
"It doesn't matter what I have," He insists. "If you aren't sleeping well -"
"You look like a zombie!" I raise my voice. A peal of Grace's laughter escapes from behind the bread. People from other tables turn and stare. Lee's so shocked he tilts his head and looks at me, but I falter under the intensity of his gaze and glance away.
"A-A good-looking zombie," I correct myself. "But you just don't look very happy, I think. You...you should look happier. You're getting married soon. That's supposed to be one of the happiest times in your life, right?"
Grace's giggling drops off suddenly. Lee's other hand forms a fist on his other leg. Somehow it feels like I've said something wrong. Maybe I have. But he doesn't look happy at all, and that's hurting me more than he can ever know.
"I'm sorry," I stammer. "It's none of my business."
