It's been a while since I've read a rocker series, and Alluring Turmoil was just the perfect book to cure that.
I loved Alexia's character. Alexia owns a coffee shop/bakery with her best friend since childhood. She is in a great place in life, her business is running well and she's doing what she loves. The only thing she doesn't have is a significant other.
Then theirs Jude.... GODDDDD I just want to eat Jude up!
Jude is the lead singer of Bayou Stix, one of the most popular rock bands in the country. Jude and Alexia have a past. They were once, 8 years ago, very much in love. Alexia left Jude 8 years ago, and never looked back. It took her a LONG time, but she's happy, and finally living..
But now Jude's back in their hometown... and he's staying for good.
Jude has no idea why Alexia walked out on her all those years ago. He has such a hate for the girl who broke his heart 8 years ago, until he sees her again, and all the feelings come rushing back. Will he be able to get her back?
This is the first book of Skye that I've read, and I know it wont be the last. I absolutely loved Alluring Turmoil. I loved everything about the book. I totally thought I was going to hate Jude, because he had broken Alexia's heart. Girl code right?
Well boy was I mistaken. I love Jude.. LIKE A LOT...
Skye is one of those authors that consumes you with their writing. I seriously stopped all of my wifely, motherly, worldly duties so I can finish Alluring Turmoil. I felt such a connection to all of the characters. At times I felt bad for Jude, and at times my heart broke for Alexia.
All in all Alluring Turmoil was an excellent read. The perfect story of love; losing it, getting it back, working it out.
Skye you are freaking fabulous, and have gained a forever fan out of me!
I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
